Are
there any more Shops coming on-line?
Yes. The situation is continuously changing. We think we have got the right
balance in the portfolio but we keep everything under constant review. If you
feel that there is a particular gap, then tell us about it.

You
are a Motorbike Club – why do you sell all these other things?
The shops you find on our website allow us to act as an advert for them. In
return, they pay us a small fee.

Do you use the Shops yourselves?
Yes. We have no hesitation in recommending these shops. Some are the biggest and
the best on the Internet. Who hasn’t used Amazon for books (remember, they
sell many other things too) and who would have any reason to go past SendIt for video? Some of the Gift Shops
are absolutely fascinating. We try to give you the choice.

Do I have to be a Member of the Motorbike Club to use the Shops?
No.

Is it safe?
Each Supplier has his own Security Policy and will accept Credit Cards on-line.
Once it comes to the payment process, you get whisked off to a secure area which
handles the transaction before passing you back to the Trader’s normal site.

Is there a Guarantee?
Each Supplier has his own arrangement regarding guarantee, quality of goods,
adherence to the Sales of Goods Act, Consumer Credit, etc..

What if I need to return
something?
Each Supplier has his own Returns Policy. Remember, in the majority of cases,
Internet business is their main business, so they are geared up for a flexible
service – it is very much in their interest to offer a zero-hassle Returns
Policy.

How do Post and
Packaging charges affect the cost?
Each Supplier has his own P&P cost structure, some of which are complicated,
involving a package cost plus a per-item cost within that package, while some
others are flat rate and some are even FREE. Unfortunately, this takes a bit of
checking out with each Supplier.

Why can I not trade
directly with the shops?
You ARE trading directly with the shops. Our link simply passes you on to the
Trader and you deal with him from there onwards. The big difference in coming
through us first is that the Trader then takes a small slice off his profits and
gives it to us.

Why
do I always have to start at the Five Corners Bikers website?
It is only by originating the transaction through our site that we will have the
commission allocated to us. There are a few exceptions to the rule, but it
is best to always start from the Five Corners screens.

After
my first transaction with a Supplier, can I not go direct to his Shop?
Yes you can. BUT - we will not get commission.
There are a few exceptions, but, by and large, you need to start your shopping
from the Five Corners screens in order for the commission to come to us.

How do I know I am getting
a good deal?
Shop around. We know we have selected among the best available. Do your
own comparison. You are under no obligation to shop with these shops.

What commissions do you get?
The commission format varies from Supplier to Supplier. For some, we get 2p or
3p when you click on the advert, for others, 50p or more for registering or
buying something, and, for others, we get a straight percentage of the sale
price, ranging from 2% to a (rare) 10%.

Why
don’t you show the commission for each Supplier, so I can pick the best?
We want you to get the best deal for yourself. If you are happy, you will
return. So, we will get the best deal, in the long run. And you get
the best deal in both the short term and the long term. Win - Win.

How can I maximize
the contribution to the Club?
The best way is for you to be so happy with your first purchase that you come
back for more! It is no use going to the Supplier who gives us the best
commission if you are not happy with the goods or service. Repeat business is
the only way to maximize the contribution. Also, tell everyone you know
that there is such a good source of shops on the net - direct them straight to
the Five Corners Website.

Will
I be spammed and harassed by a Supplier just because I bought something?
No. Sure, the Suppliers want your repeat business. But, if they use any spamming
technique, tell us and we will forward the complaints directly. It is not in
their interest to spam anyone. Opt-in email is the only legitimate method –
where you have opted to receive emails.

If I
buy off one Shop, do all the others email me with offers?
No. Any transaction with one shop is kept confidential from all other shops.
Your transaction with one shop is unique to that shop.

Do the
Five Corners Bikers get to know what I have bought?
No. All we get is confirmation of the monies which we are about to receive. We
get no detail of what was bought, nor who bought it.

Do
the Five Corners Bikers get to see my Credit Card details?
No. Definitely not. Even some of the Suppliers do not get your details – often
it is a separate, secure, site which handles the detail and simply passes
confirmation to the Supplier. Certainly, we get absolutely no detail whatsoever.

Will
the Five Corners Bikers put me under pressure to buy more?
No. Even if we wanted to, we have no way of knowing who bought what!

I am not
from the UK – may I still trade in your shops?
This is Supplier dependent – you will need to check with the individual
Supplier to ensure that he will supply to your home country.

Does
a Search, originating from your site, generate money for the Club?
Yes. Our search-boxes each have their own algorithm for generating fees,
which are complicated enough for us not to be able to explain! Suffice to say
that each search will pay its way to the tune of about 1p or 2p,
provided it meets certain criteria. So, please, if you are doing ANY Internet
searches, use our search-boxes EVERY TIME.

Do your motorbike links
generate cash?
No. None of the motorbike links generates any money. They are there to serve the
genuine motorcyclist who comes to the site, either for local knowledge from the
Club, or for more general knowledge from Northern Ireland, Ireland, or the UK
and further afield.

I
see advertising banners appearing on some of your pages – do these generate
more money for you?
No. Not directly. They are part of an advert exchange – we show an advert on
our website, someone else on the advert network shows our
advert. Tit-for-tat – each site gains by other sites’ popularity.

I don’t trust Motorbikers
Motorcyclists are a fine bunch of men and women. But – have no fear – by
shopping here, you are actually dealing directly with the on-line retailers –
and we have some of the biggest and the best. We are simply acting as a shopping
mall – as soon as you go through the door, you are in their shop, not ours.
